FHP Membership

In order that we may reduce any negative images of practitioners in the Foot Health Industry, we must unite and partake in proactive dialogue. Individually, we are weak, but collectively we can change the structure and reputation of the profession that will allow us all to prosper.

The Register for Foot Health Professional (RFHP) is a non-profit professional association for Foot Health Practitioners, who places practitioners on a register, making the public aware that the practitioner is trained to a high standard.

The RFHP campaigns for, promotes and supports those who work and practice in the Foot Health Practitioner Industry. It reaches out to people who act as advocates for the Foot Health Profession and it anticipates and exceeds stakeholder expectations. Members are of all ages and come from a broad range of professional and personal backgrounds. We would like to invite you to network in our community.

Our Mission

Our primary mission is to foster and develop the Foot Health Practitioner profession by supporting and representing Foot Health Practitioners in Industry.

The RFHP seeks to be an exceptional institution able to attract and nurture diverse members with first-rate skills who understand how to treat their clients in a clear, professional and consistent manner. The RFHP achieves this by maintaining a comprehensive list containing details of qualified Foot Health Practitioners, which can be used by both practitioners and patients alike.

All of our members must uphold our robust underlying code of ethics by ensuring that they have the necessary skills, training, proficiencies and grounded knowledge to practice safely and competently. A member of the RFHP is someone you can trust.

Our Principles

  • Client and Practitioner focus;
  • Commitment to excellence;
  • Embracing core values;
  • Increasing standards;
  • Nurture personal ambition.

Our Values

  • Professional integrity;
  • Working in partnership with practitioners and clients to develop sustainable and transparent relationships;
  • Encouraging responsibility;
  • Raise professional standards;
  • Increasing awareness;
  • Empowering individuals by working together;
  • Developing the type of working environment that is enjoyable and self-fulfilling.

Who is Eligible?

The RFHP is free to join and anyone who is trained as a Foot Health Practitioner may join the RFHP. It is not necessary for you to have completed your training with Stonebridge Associated Colleges to join (however, evidence of your qualification will be needed).

If you have trained with Stonebridge Associated Colleges, you will automatically be registered with the RFHP.

Our Goals

Our goals are to:

  • Encourage Professional Integrity - The association is striving towards making the Foot Health Profession a well considered and highly regarded Industry through continual promotion and verification of those who work within it.

  • Raise Industry Standards - The association only admits individuals who have been trained to a high standard. The effect of this is an increase in the benchmark required to operate in the Industry which is closely followed by an increase in Industry standards.

  • Collective Representation - As an individual voice, the Practitioner can often find their views go unnoticed. The association aims to act as one voice for all of our members by collecting their views and representing them collectively to the Industry.

  • Advance Responsibility - The association purports to increase the professional responsibility of members by making members adhere to a code of "Best Practice". Members who fail to meet these high standards will be barred from the association.

  • Increase Awareness - The association seeks to increase awareness of the types of work a Foot Health Practitioner can conduct and the standards Foot Health Practitioners should abide to by representing them in the Industry and representing the profession to the public.

  • Develop Sustainable and Transparent Relationships - The association aims to work in partnership with clients and Practitioners and match the practical skills of the Practitioners to the needs of the clients. These relationships should arise out of mutual trust and respect and should be transparent at all times.

  • Foster Self-Fulfilling Work Environment - The association hopes that the culmination of its efforts towards a more accountable Foot Health profession will be a working environment that is both satisfying and rewarding.
