Professional Associations

Stonebridge Associated College's professional associations include:

The British Learning Association

BLA, the British Learning Association, exists to promote quality and best practice in open, flexible and distance forms of learning throughout the education and training sectors of the UK. It is the national cross sector association for open learning drawing its membership from the key areas of open and flexible learning.

The British Learning Association is recognised as one of the leading organisations promoting quality and best practice in open learning in the UK.

NCFE

NCFE is the UK's longest established awarding body, recognised as a highly professional and responsive organisation, committed to maintaining excellent customer service and a friendly approach.

NCFE is one of the UK’s fastest growing national awarding bodies, designing and awarding qualifications that are nationally recognised to meet the needs of learners and employers.

NCFE is recognised as an awarding body by the qualification regulators ('regulators') for England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The regulators are the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual) in England, the Department for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills (DCELLS) in Wales and the Council for Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) in Northern Ireland.

NCFE provide a wide range of qualifications accredited by Ofqual at different levels and in a variety of subject areas. NCFE also offer NVQs, Key Skills, Basic Skills and Entry Level qualifications.

Accreditation by NCFE is a guarantee of quality. It means that a learning programme has been scrutinised and approved by an independent panel of experienced educational professionals and is quality audited biannually by NCFE. The centre delivering the programmes has been licensed by NCFE on the basis of its own quality systems.

Learners successfully completing NCFE accredited programmes receive an externally accredited and nationally recognised NCFE certificate.

Our NCFE accredited courses are accredited to various levels (from level 1 – level 5). These courses lead to a nationally recognised NCFE certificate for successful learners. That means that the course is independently accredited at a level of learning equivalent to that level on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) for England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Last year over a quarter of a million learners from almost 1000 training organisations chose NCFE as the awarding body to help them move their careers forward.

The Complementary Medical Association

The Complementary Medical Association's primary aim is to promote ethical, responsible, professional complementary medicine to the public and the medical profession.

We believe that by promoting the CMA and it's members though the media we are able to help the public and doctors to realise that complementary medicine (CM) is - when delivered safely and ethically - a viable and highly desirable form of treatment.

In addition, here at the CMA, we are totally dedicated to representing "the professional face of complementary medicine" and by promoting research, education and knowledge in the field, we will help to stimulate demand for the medicine of the 21st century and beyond.

The CMA is great news for professional practitioners, ethical colleges and patients who demand and expect excellence in every aspect of treatment.

The American Association of Drugless Practitioners

The American Association of Drugless Practitioners Certification and Accreditation Board has granted Stonebridge Associated Colleges full board professional accreditation and certification.

Stonebridge's curriculum fully meets the accreditation board's educational requirements and will give students a thorough knowledge of courses set-forth by the College.

Graduates of Stonebridge will be eligible to apply to be board certified holistic health practitioners through the AADP.

The Register of Foot Health Practitioners

The Register of Foot Health Practitioners (R.F.H.P.) is a non-profit professional association for Foot Health Practitioners, who places practitioners on a register, making the public aware that the practitioner is trained to a high standard.

The R.F.H.P. campaigns for, promotes and supports those who work and practice in the Foot Health Practitioner Industry. It reaches out to people who act as advocates for the Foot Health Profession and it anticipates and exceeds stakeholder expectations. Members are of all ages and come from a broad range of professional and personal backgrounds.
